About

Mira Residence & Resort

A 24-hour reception, on-site restaurant, and complimentary airport transportation round out the practical side. In brief

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • A pool that earns its praise — Guests consistently call the outdoor pool area amazing, and there's a separate children's pool for families. It's the kind of place you might plan an afternoon around, not just a quick dip.
  • Genuinely helpful staff — Reviewers note the team goes out of their way — offering transport advice, introducing ride-hailing apps, and generally smoothing out logistics — even when language is a hurdle.
  • Free airport pickup — The complimentary airport shuttle takes the stress out of arrival and is highlighted by several guests as a real perk, especially for a hotel at this price point.
  • Peaceful, quiet setting — Located away from the city centre, the resort offers a serene base. Guests describe it as calm and perfect for a quiet getaway, with easy access to town when needed.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Away from the old city action — The quiet location is a double-edged sword. You'll need transport to reach central Chiang Mai's temples, markets, and nightlife — it's about 2.5 km to Wat Buppharam, and the walk isn't always practical.
  • Reception can be a language barrier — While staff are praised for their helpfulness, a few guests noted English isn't always fluent, which might slow down more complex requests or conversations.
  • Small property, fewer rooms — With just 35 rooms, the resort is intimate, but that also means limited availability and fewer on-site facilities than larger resorts — no spa or fitness centre is listed.
  • No pets allowed — If you're travelling with a furry companion, this isn't the place — the property has a strict no-pets policy.
